Prefered file formats should be presented in full Vector art. Any external images MUST be embeded and supplied separately with the art files. All fonts MUST be converted to outlines to ensure accurate representation of text. These file formats are ideal for spot color printing.
Non-prefered file formats are generally "flat" images or photos with no editable elements such as fonts, objects, layers, etc. These files MUST be as high resolution as possible (300dpi at actual size is standard) to ensure a crisp clear print. Do not attempt to "save as" an acceptable file type - the quality of the artwork will stay the same. These file formats are ideal for 4-color process printing.
Microsoft Office file formats (Word, Excel, Publisher, Powerpoint, Etc.), Adobe InDesign, Quark, Adobe Flash, and 3D Modeling file types are all unusable formats for screen printing, embroidery, or signs.
PC format is preferred. Macintosh (MAC) format is acceptable only if saved properly. Please refer to the acceptable and unacceptable file formats above. To avoid art charges, send only the original or native artwork files along with any linked or embeded images and fonts. We cannot guarantee files sent from MAC platforms or any other than our preferred file formats will be usable.
The artwork you send must be in an acceptable digital format (see Prefered File Formats above). If improperly formatted digital art is to be used, art charges will be assessed according to the difficulty and the time necessary to recreate when applicable at an hourly rate to be determined.
